Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept my insurance?2020-09-20T22:36:11-04:00

We do not accept insurance. However, we do print a superbill with the proper codes on it so you can submit it to your insurance to work towards your deductible and possible reimbursement.

Our prices are such that even if we did accept insurance, the co-pay with most carriers for chiropractic care is about the same amount we charge for our visits. Any practitioner saying they will wave your co-pay is committing fraud and is highly illegal.

Do you accept Medicare?2021-12-11T16:02:33-05:00

Dr. Bartlett is considered a “non-participating practitioner”. This means that you pay upfront and we submit your visit(s) to Medicare. If you have supplemental insurance, Medicare will forward the information onto them. If you’ve met your deductible(s), Medicare and your supplemental will send you your reimbursement check(s).

Reimbursements and How They Work

If you’ve met your deductibles:

  • Medicare will reimburse for 80% of the visits (excluding the initial new patient exam and extremity adjustments)
  • Your supplemental will pay for the other 20% of each visit (excluding the initial new patient exam and extremity adjustments)
What type of payments do you accept?2020-09-20T22:35:05-04:00

We currently accept all credit cards (including HSA), check, or cash.

What do I need to bring to the first appointment?2021-12-11T16:06:12-05:00

Ideally, we would like you to bring:

  • Your recent blood work. If you have the last 3 times you’ve had blood work, that will also help.
  • Recent reports for any x-rays, MRIs, CAT scans, etc.
  • The supplements and medications you are taking (not a list of them, please bring the actual supplements/medications)
  • Wear clothes you can move freely in, such as shorts, easy to move in pants, non-restrictive shirts. Please avoid wearing skirts, tight jeans, or anything restrictive.
How long are the appointments?2021-12-11T16:07:07-05:00

The initial visit can be up to an hour. After the initial visit, it will be 15 minutes unless you request more time. Genetic evaluation appointments are an hour and the re-evaluation is 30 minutes.

How often will I be recommended to come in?2021-12-11T16:10:53-05:00

We aren’t like most practices out there. We typically will see most new patients once per week. Depending on each individuals condition, we may ask to see you more often, however that is typically rare. The plan is to get patients onto a maintenance schedule as quickly as possible, as that means you are feeling good and we want to keep it that way! A maintenance schedule can vary from person to person. It can range between 4-12 weeks.

Maintenance visits are very important in maintaining your health. By doing so, we can catch things before they become a problem, saving you time and money in the end. Our goal is for you to feel happy, energized, functioning better, and able to do anything you want to do in your day to day life.
